The project is open to students in Yale College and graduate programs.
**Students who are graduating in December 2023 may seek special permission from Emily Coates and Lacina Coulibaly to be involved.

Dancers of all styles and background are welcomed and encouraged to audition!

Tuesdays: Brinda Guha’s work is rooted in the legacies of Contemporary Indian dance, and yearns to reach spaces where qualities of community, transparency and womanhood are centered. This semester, Brinda plans to build a complex piece called “Mohabbat”, a meditative song about love and letting go by Arooj Aftab.

Thursdays: Emily Coates and Lacina Coulibaly will develop new choreographic material that builds on their collaborative intertwining of West African and American dance forms with a live music component. This work will culminate in a new, large-scale original production to be premiered in the 2024-25 school year.
